Trots det spred den sig 200 meter i ventilationssystemet innan den kunde hejdas. Branden lamslog stora delar av flygplatsen och \u00f6ver 300 flygavg\u00e5ngar fick st\u00e4llas in eller dirigeras om. Lyckligtvis klarade sig personal och bes\u00f6kare utan fysiska skador.
